Welcome to THEJNSREPORT’S: Battery Place Image Gallery This past week has been a busy one with a lot of change, a lot of work, and the daily hustle of living in NYC.  Monday evening while strolling around Battery Park City I shot the following.Now this is how you design a water fountain. I always liked the infinity edge look of water fountains and pools.Water Fountain frozen still.Rounding the corner near the Museum of Jewish Heritage.This pigeon I thought from this vantage point looked injured based on how it lay sprawling wide.From here I realized nope not injured just fat. LOL It’s definitely enjoying soaking up the afternoon sun.That’s the look of a confident and comfortable bird.  Giving us side eye.

In this shot it’s giving us its best side.  “Get my left side”.  After walking around the bend and heading south from the building. I came across flowers growing along the pathway that were interesting subjects to shoot.I wish I knew the names of the unique flowers I come across.  I’m still learning the names of the wide range of flowers  I’ve come to familiarize myself with this past year. What a surprise to see that this same species of Hydrangea grows in mom’s garden.  Seeing it here in Battery Park City I didn’t expect.  It’s an absolutely gorgeous color combination not to mention the design of this flower.

I don’t know what you call these either but I found them interesting.  I wish they had name and species and the biological information on a sign next to them so you could learn what the name of the flower is and it’s properties.This beautiful flower reminds me of decoration I’d see on a birthday cake.  Looks good enough to eat!This is an absolutely stunning flower. Definitely makes me think of Spring when I look at it.These look like some kind of lilac but I’m not sure.II find this shot very peaceful. Nature in harmony.And what’s your name?Battery PlaceFrom here it looks like a long walk to “Freedom”.It’s nice to know where one stands.It’s really amazing to see all the construction projects going on throughout the city.  My question is whose going to be able to afford to live in these new buildings?The good old West Side Highway.I don’t know why but ever since the completed construction of One World Trade Building aka “The Freedom Tower” I’ve found myself on off days down around “Ground Zero” taking in the lasting impact of what happened on September 11, 2001.The scene appears to be not too busy for an afternoon way downtown.More construction going on.Here’s a shot I took at the Southern Reflection Pool..Landscape Reflection Pool

The sky was a bit cloudy at this point and set the tone and mood for this shot which is still pretty cool I think. And with that we’ve come to the end of my photo tour.  Hope you enjoyed.
