Welcome to THEJNSREPORT’S: Baby Strollers & Public Transportation
Recently, while riding the subway with a friend we found ourselves cloistered like sardines in a can in a crowded subway car where the interior of the car was blocked in two directions by women with SUV like baby strollers in the aisle reserved for standing passengers while they hogged two seats each with their bags.
Why is it in today’s world especially in NYC are there so many women having non-collapsable huge strollers for their kids? Firstly, I’m not against women and their kids traveling in public transportation, however common courtesy should not just be a matter of everyone else acquiescing to the choices some parents decide to make when transporting their kids.
Non collapsing baby strollers are a huge public nuisance. They are constantly in the way, take up too much space and impede any bit of wiggle room left when the bus or train car is full of passengers. When I was growing up as a kid and yes I have plenty of siblings, we didn’t have the monster sized SUV strollers of today. Common sense prevailed. In today’s world it seems like things are backwards.
Good day! I could have sworn I’ve visited your blog before but after browsing through some of the articles I realized it’s new to me.
Anyhow, I’m certainly delighted I discovered it and I’ll be bookmarking it and checking back regularly!
Cool and thanks. Stay tuned for more
