Welcome to THEJNSREPORT’S: THE VERDICT IS INI!!!!Amber Guyger Murder Trial 2019https://thejnsreport.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/01-01-glory-from-the-motion-picture-selma.mp3

First and foremost I want to thank the most high God for this victory and guilty verdict in the Amber Guyger murder trial for the assassination of Botham Jean.  We are ecstatic and overjoyed that the jury had clear thinking and reasoning as human beings to see Botham Jean not simply as another “Black” man gunned down unarmed by the police but as a human being with a life ahead of him and a family and community who loved and cared about the person he was.  His life was taken prematurely but his impact and the impact of this case will resonate loudly and for everyone around the world to see and hear.

Facts of this case were clear cut despite the devilish racist Guyger and her defense team putting out lie after lie in her defense in order to get her off for murder.  I honestly believe had she not been found guilty there would be riots the likes of which we haven’t seen in this country since Watts and Ferguson and Detroit combined.  A clear cut line of war would have been drawn where no police officer should feel safe at any time any where FOR REAL.  I would expect retaliatory killings of officers similar to what we saw Christopher Dorner mete out and the gunman who killed police officers in Dallas.  Why do I say that?  I say it because here was a case in its extreme where society is pointing the finger at that supposedly blind lady of justice saying okay you’ve seemingly never seen it in favor of the countless victims of police gun violence when it comes to dark skinned men, women, and children alike.

Here’s your penultimate test case.  A law abiding, upstanding young man from Saint Lucia, who has a good job, is not in trouble with the law and is in his own home minding his own business; has the misfortune of having a racist female cop enter his home and shoot him for no justifiable reason.  While he lays dying she makes no attempt to render him any aid and her only defense is she thought she was at home even though there were too many signs pointing to the fact that she knew what she was doing when she shot and ultimately killed Botham Jean.

Police officers love to trumpet the “get out of murder charge free card” stating “I feared for my life, or the lives of my fellow officers” whenever they shoot us dead wherever that may be.  I liken it to the boy who cried wolf.  Sooner or later you have to wake up to what those code words mean. Police get to kill you with impunity if they just say those words while the courts and media and everyone else look the other way so long as it’s not a Caucasian person being gunned down regularly by the police.

Mind you the ones who are constantly being murdered by police aren’t the ones killing the police in retaliation at alarming rates the way one would expect any victimized community to react even when recognizing the only ones who value our lives are us.  What would that lead you to think whenever you encountered an officer?  In my mind it would mean I immediately fear for my life and the lives of my friends and family if they were with me during any encounter with the police.  It would mean given the track record of the police and their use and abuse of power and gun violence against us as a community to react with self preservation should be our first thought.

From the very beginning of the case the truth went out first (as it usually does) then the media and law enforcement and a Coon in law enforcement licking his masters boot got together to change the narrative to help one of their own get out of facing justice. There was no video inside Mr. Jean’s apartment or body cam from Guyger to show us exactly what she did and what he did on that fateful night.

All we had to go on was her word, the 911 call she made after she shot him and the cell phone video of her pacing in the hallway after she shot this man leaving him to die alone on the floor of his own apartment.  To add insult to injury there was no toxicology done on Amber Guyger after the shooting.  There was no search of her actual apartment but there was a search of the victim Botham Jean’s apartment?  Why did they feel the need to search his apartment after he was gunned down?  The same reason they handcuff a dead man’s body even after they know they are deceased and no threat.  It’s obviously a blatant display of disrespect after the fact.

Too many key points are tied to this case that have a direct correlation to the 1st and 2nd amendments.  However, instead of going off on those tangents let me say this.  Justice hasn’t yet been fully realized for the Jean family and many of us who have an interest in the final outcome of this case.  The presiding judge has allowed the defense to offer the “Castle Doctrine” as a mitigating factor in determining Amber Guyger’s sentence.

In a nutshell the “Castle doctrine” is similar to the “Stand Your Ground” laws in states like Florida and Georgia etc.  Basically we all have the right to defend our homes our castles.  The fact that Guyger is claiming that she thought she was at home is proffered as justification for the killing which makes no sense.  It makes no sense because she was the intruder not the victim Mr. Jean.  If we as reasonable human beings use our God given intelligence and look at some basics first we will see as the jury did why her story made no sense.

First, too many of us are hardworking regular grunts who go about the daily business of working hard and very long hours just to make ends meet and maintain whatever standard of living we have.  Too many of us have worked a 13 hr shift and come home exhausted but are still lucid enough to know where we live and what floor we live on when we arrive home.  How many of us would ignore a big red door mat (Red Flag) in front of our apartment door when we know that we don’t own one?  How many of us would forget or ignore signs in our building telling us which floor we were on when the signs are visible to us?

How many of us would claim to put an electronic key into a lock that only recognizes the key programmed for said lock?  This was demonstrated on the news shortly after the slaying of Botham Jean.  She changed her story from the door was ajar to the door opened when she put her key in (Red Flag #2).  They showed that all the doors in that apartment building are first and foremost heavy and are slam locking electronic doors in case of fire.  They showed that no matter what you do if you don’t have the right key to a lock in that apartment building the door doesn’t unlock and swing open and even if it did open without you physically holding the door it would close on its own (Red Flag #3).

A neighbor on the floor below said she heard knocking at Botham Jean’s door prior to hearing guns shots where it was reported that they heard someone we presume to be Guyger saying “let me in.”  After that gun shots ring out and the neighbor began recording a pacing Amber Guyger in the hallway while on the phone with dispatch.  Nowhere on her person or uniform is there any blood from Botham Jean demonstrating that she attempted any life saving measures like CPR (which she had been trained to do) (Red Flag #4).

People in Amber’s corner tried to help cover up for her racist posts on twitter where she boasted that people were lucky that she didn’t blow them away and don’t mess with law enforcement (paraphrasing).  So she was itching to shoot someone before she ultimately killed Botham Jean. They scrubbed her Facebook page and twitter account but those statements attributed to her were already viewed.

She texts her police officer lover after the shooting more concerned about covering up for what she did rather than focusing all her efforts on trying to save Botham (Red Flag #5).  Her acting was very poor.  What do I mean by that? If you listen to her 911 call it sounds like a person who works for law enforcement and knows that her call is being recorded, doing and saying whatever she thinks will garner her sympathy for a situation she is totally culpable for.

Red Flag #6: Who enters their apartment without turning on the lights to see inside when they get home?  Who willfully shoots in the dark before allowing a person whom they claim to have “given verbal commands to show hands” a chance to comply?  We all know only the police have been shown time and time again to do such things and more often than not get away with it.  Stephon Clark was shot and killed in his grandmother’s backyard in the dark of night holding only his cell phone.  Amadou Diallo in the 90’s in the Bronx gunned down while holding his wallet. Tamir Rice a 12 year old was gunned down in broad daylight within two seconds by police while playing with a toy gun like most kids do at that age. The fact is no matter how you want to slice it, police officers have been allowed to get away with shedding our blood for any reason under the sun and have faced virtually no repercussions for it other than justification and paid leave and promotions.

When you take it as a whole it all points to her willful desire and actions to kill someone.  When the prosecutors asked her did she intend to kill when she shot Botham Jean her answer was yes.  Was it reasonable to do so? Not when the police station is 2 blocks away.  Not when she could have taken cover outside the apartment and waited for backup and certainly not when she heard the person say “Hey hey hey”.

A sober and rational person would have said who are you?  What are you doing in my apartment and cut the lights on while holding the weapon and warning that if the person moves they could be shot.  She didn’t do any of the myriad of other things she could have to secure the room because she didn’t want to.  She wanted to kill.  Now comes the sentencing phase of this saga.  Let’s see what she gets and remember the true administration of justice is the firmest pillar of good government.  Those words are etched in stone on the outside edifice of a court building in downtown Manhattan.  If she gets off with a slap on the wrist then this trial and verdict will have been in vain.  All the talk about building community trust with law enforcement goes right out the window when justice is denied or end run around.

As a foot note while sentencing testimony is underway, evidence of Amber Guyger’s state of mind and attitude toward “black”people will be introduced which wasn’t part of the trial which I don’t understand.  Perhaps it would’ve elevated this crime to a hate crime murder which I already suspected it was from the start.  It is expected that Guyger’s text messages about an MLK Jr. parade in which she was working security will be released.  In the messages she states that the parade goers could be pushed or pepper sprayed to hasten the end of the parade and when asked when it would end she replied when MLK is dead.  Apologists for this cowardly demonic devil in blue can say whatever they like to try and spin this but there isn’t a thing they can do to sway a sane rational mind reading her own words and thoughts she so cavalierly expressed.  I hope the jury does the right thing again and disregards the “Castle Doctrine” defense during sentencing and gives her the maximum of life in prison.

The Time Is Now (The Rise of “Black” Owned, Operated, & Supported Business)

Welcome to THEJNSREPORT’S: The Time Is Now (The Rise of Black Owned, Operated & Supported Business)https://thejnsreport.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/01-free.mp3

The other day while riding the train like so many of us New Yorkers do on the daily, a thought popped into my head.  Actually it flashed in front of my face literally.  I’d been watching numerous videos of the constant struggles, harassment and abuses we suffer as a people living not just here in America but around the world as a whole.  I needed to refresh my mindset from being consumed with so much negativity.

A brother happened to come into the sort of half empty train car I was riding in.  I’ll admit that like most people when riding the subway I was tempted to just tune out the unwanted distraction of another person begging for my hard earned money.  I didn’t have any headphones to drown out the noise of the world going on around me and so even though I didn’t make eye contact I listened to the words of this brother passing by with several boxes of candies taped together.

He gave us the usual spiel about “All candies are $1, anyone care to buy?”  I looked around at the train car as this about his business brother walked through the car up and down twice asking if anyone cared to buy.  Not a single person was willing to buy anything and I thought to myself in that moment even though I don’t necessarily eat a lot of candy I had some change in my pocket why wouldn’t I help my fellow brother out and buy a candy?

I settled on a bag of M&M’s Peanut and gave the man the dollar he sought for his merchandise and then decided to give him all the change I had as a tip.  While it wasn’t much the point in my mind was we all have to start some where.  The fact that I work in the service industry and am accustomed to not only receiving tips but paying it forward simply because that is my nature made me feel good to do for this fellow brother.  What I do on the regular when buying food to go, or eating out at restaurants or having a drink at a bar should not be rocket science to do for a man who walks in the same skin I do.  How many other communities have I supported and sustained simply by patronizing them?

I would often hear Philip Scott from African Diaspora News Channel (as well as other Youtube channels) talk about the need for us to realize as a people we’re all we have in this world.  We have no friends and need to unify and support ourselves.  The answer to our problems lies within us as a united people.  I’m sick and tired of hearing the disparaging comments about my community as a collective as being disorganized, lazy, non unified, & criminals looking for a handout or a way to steal what we want.

This brother only needed one person to show him that his efforts on the straight and narrow (while it wasn’t a Wall Street gig he was working) was worth him doing if only to keep from entering the Prison Industrial Complex aka (The Beast System).  In that moment I saw the microcosm of what once was and could be again if only we as a collective people choose to support each other and build our own businesses and communities up like the Black Wall Street of days past.  Black Wall Street in Tulsa Oklahoma was so successful the U.S. Government helped destroy it.  Let that sink in for a moment.  That alone should tell us we must rebuild that lost wealth and paradigm for success and a way to pass on generational wealth.

Why should we look to outsiders and foreigners to come into our communities and set up shop while we give them our hard earned money (which leaves the community almost immediately) yet they give us disrespect, disdain, and in quite a few instances violence (See Nail Salon Owners attacking Black Patrons over $5) in return? Why should we let every other ethnic group capitalize off of our culture and sell us our own culture instead of us doing so?  I mean think about it. We are the most influential, copied, and appropriated people on the planet bar none.  It only makes sense that we should own and operate the businesses within our communities.

The movie “Black Panther” came out to rave reviews and enormous box office receipts but what has happened since then?  The euphoria of that films achievements is over now.  The hope that it inspired for the first time in a long time depicting Africa and “Black” African nations as not some third world wastelands or deserts or jungles full of bush people and uncivilized townships but as highly intelligent and capable people who’s brilliance in not only tech but also weapons and self defense made them unrivaled in the world seems to have waned.  The world fears the day we as a people wake up and unite because then the system of white supremacy falls.  The lies crumble in the face of Truth and ultimately justice prevails.

Everything has a beginning.  The point to take away from all this is if nothing else let’s start our own small businesses, support “Black” entrepreneurs men and women alike whether it’s a juice bar, or coffee shop, the candy seller on the train or hair & nail salons or spas or restaurants.   We have nothing to lose and everything to gain if we do.  We built America and its vast wealth from its inception till now.  Also lastly, and probably most importantly, hold onto our money and boycott any business(es) that mistreats or disrespects us individually and collectively.  That’s what businesses understand.  The power of our spending if we curtail it from those who abuse us we will bring about change in policy and some attitudes over night.  Discipline will be the key.

NYC Congestion Pricing: The Next Money Grab

Posted by THEJNSREPORT on September 26, 2019
Posted in: Politics, Social Commentary. Leave a comment

Welcome to THEJNSREPORT’S: NYC Congestion Pricing: The Next Money Grab

In early 2019 we New Yorkers had been hearing a pseudo back & forth argument about proposed congestion pricing which ultimately was approved by legislators to go into effect next year but has already been implemented this year on ride sharing services.  This latest tax (which is exactly what it is) is the latest unpopular stick it to the residents of NYC move by the Mayor and City Hall.  A toll placed on all drivers coming into the city below 59th street as a means to “ease congestion” is a blatant lie.  Congestion pricing won’t ease the congestion at all and City Hall and the MTA know this.

All of us grunts continue to complain about the increasing costs of living in modern day Babylon to no avail.  Claims of the necessity to find more revenue to fund the MTA, an aging, antiquated, delay, trash, & homeless riddled system for mass transit as well as crumbling infrastructures like the streets and bridges are all red herrings.  What’s really going on in the “Rotten Apple?”  City governments are a two faced monster that lie to the public day in and day out year in and year out while claiming to be servants of the residents of the city.  The elected politicians know that all of this is just the latest money grab hatched and forced down our collective throats with no opposition.

It’s the same when it comes to the never ending fare increases by the MTA which they claim are to fund the updating of the entire transit system.  There is never any true accounting for how much the operating budget is for the MTA or it’s top brass. There’s never any true accounting of where the increased fare money goes once it takes effect.  Since 2005, when the MTA had it’s last employee strike over plans to increase the fares but not the wages of the MTA employees, the only thing that has worked out is the actual fare increases.

All the pundits in mainstream news parroted the same song and dance.  The MTA needs more money while its service remains the same or in many instances got worse with seemingly constant signal problems.  When a deal was finally struck between the MTA employee union and the city what they got was guaranteed pay increases to be done incrementally over the years.  There was a report of a $250 million budget surplus for the MTA which mysteriously wasn’t mentioned any longer and many of us strap hangers groaned aloud, sucked it up and continued to pay the fares as the cheapest form of transportation to and from work everyday.

The actual money raised from all the taxes we pay as New Yorkers should be more than enough to cover the repair of the roads and streets, bridges, and MTA operations but we’re not told the whole truth.  All those tax dollars collected go into accounts that are then immediately invested by big banks lent out and generate interest and profits.  What happens to that invested tax dollar?

Why is that money never mentioned to us when it comes to talking about budget deficits and balancing budgets?  The answer in short is because the politicians and banks don’t want us to know about it.  It makes it all that much easier to steal the money of the people when the people don’t know 1) That their tax dollars are earning huge returns. 2) That as a technicality politicians don’t have to include that invested tax money profit in any discussion when it comes to budgets.

They keep the system going and the people ignorant that we’re being robbed in broad daylight everyday by the same people and banks we have entrusted our money to in order to make sure all the necessities of a thriving large city and nation are met.  Ride share services began to surge in service as an alternative to the buses and trains.  What did the city do then? Let’s slap surcharges on the ride share vehicles which then pass the tax on to us riders who have found a faster and more affordable way to get around the city without having to constantly deal with delay after mind wracking delay on the subways and buses.  All in the name of reducing congestion which they know it will never do.

Yellow cabs already had protections built in to keep them going but that didn’t stop the city from putting a cap on the number of for hire licenses for ride share services because they could see the future coming.  An outdated over priced yellow cab industry was being hit by better competition from ride shares that don’t have driver based discrimination built in where they choose who they want to take just by looking at the potential rider.

Fixed preset pricing based on distance to and from destination makes everything clear which is what you want as a consumer.   The congestion pricing plan though it met some opposition has passed and so to with it comes another squeeze on all of our collective wallets.  Some may say it only applies to those entering the city at 59th street and below except I’ve seen it on my bill no matter where traveling in the city the surcharge for congestion pricing is automatically added to the cost of the ride.  Let’s see what the overall impact is once those bridges have electronic tolls added in 2020.

Eric Garner: The Fight Continues…

Posted by THEJNSREPORT on September 26, 2019
Posted in: Social Commentary. Tagged: 2019, America, Eric Garner, Justice, NYC, Police State, THEJNSREPORT, This Is America. Leave a comment

When Police Chief O’Neill announced that police officer Daniel Pantaleo was terminated from the NYPD some thought that should be enough to satisfy Eric Garner’s family and the calls for justice.  Why it took five years to come to this decision is simple.

The NYPD never wants to find any of its employees guilty of doing anything wrong on/off the job.  When you have any organization that investigates itself alone, there should be no surprise when that organization continuously finds no wrong doing on its part, even and especially when someone’s life has been taken away and unnecessarily so.

For too long police have been used to getting away with murder, literally.  For too long they have been paid while under investigation after killing someone unjustly while the blue wall rally’s to cover up for it.  The mainstream media (also in cahoots with law enforcement) attack the victim’s character, name and/or reputation as justification for an unnecessary killing of an unarmed man (at least six more officers were involved in Eric Garner’s public lynching) while defending the actions of the police saying we must be calm, we’re not to react, we’re not to react with violence, and wait for the wheels of justice to turn.

Defending our selves is a must every second of every day everywhere in this world. Being vigilant, but also relentless in our pursuit of justice and accountability is an absolute must.

A silver lining to this development is that this murdering officer doesn’t get to collect a pension from our tax paying dollars to live on after having done what he did.  The other officers involved should have also been fired.  Pantaleo’s firing does send a message but is far from doing anything really substantive in the way of restitution to the Garner family.  How do you replace a life taken?  You simply can’t.  There’s no amount of money that can absolve that heinous sin.

What I’d like to see happen afterward is that Pantaleo be personally sued for Eric Garner’s death and held liable to support Mr Garner’s children and widow for the rest of his life.  Would that ever happen?  Given the track record of how justice has gone for us in America and around the world most likely not.

Mass Shooting in Pittsburg Synagogue & The Two Latest (El Paso, & Dayton,Ohio)

Posted by THEJNSREPORT on August 11, 2019
Posted in: Social Commentary. Leave a comment

Welcome to THEJNSREPORT’S: MASS SHOOTING IN PITTSBURG SYNAGOGUE & The Two Latest (El Paso, & Dayton, Ohio)

Thoughts on the mass shooting from the Pittsburg Synagogue that I hadn’t gotten to posting before now are below.  The sentiments still apply to the latest two mass shootings.

America has a very very serious problem with Caucasian Domestic Terrorism.  They don’t want to call it that or address it in any meaningful way other than to say the problem is simply guns or access to guns.  The problem is not simply guns but with that said below are what my initial thoughts were back then.

It truly seems like every other week, if not every other month, there is a mass shooting in America.  I’m sure we’re all tired of seeing and hearing about events like what happened over this weekend.  Unfortunately, America is reaping what its sowed.  Domestic terrorism is winked at when it occurs from the hands of White Nationalists, White Supremacists, Neo Nazi extremists or any other label one wants to attach to them.

We see them for who and what they are.  COWARDS, PUNKS, PUSSIES, and LOSERS in life who think that they are actually effecting any kind of substantive change in their favor by committing evil acts of violence against communities they hate for whatever reason they claim to have.  Pittsburgh was simply the latest instance but what is the bigger picture here?  Don’t think it’s the moronic, head up the ass comments of the person sitting dishonorably in the office as president of the United States saying if they were armed or had armed security this tragic event wouldn’t have happened or results would have been any different.

These comments were made in lieu of the fact that law enforcement officers were also shot by this murderer and yet he’s still alive.  Police routinely claim their fear for their lives or lives of their fellow officers when they gun down unarmed citizens with or without body cam video to support their lies.   Here you have evidence plain as day this person is guilty of mass murder, has shot law enforcement as well and yet he’s taken into custody allegedly shot in his extremities.

Statements that blame the victims in tragic events like this show who and what this current iteration of commander in chief, his flunkies, and supporters are about. That is  division, lack of accountability, lack of empathy, and delusions of grandeur.  Soft targets will always be soft targets or the low hanging fruit for the weak and cowardly.

Killing people in their place of worship isn’t new.  How quickly people forget Dylan Roof.  Eleven people died in this latest mass shooting in a Pittsburgh Synagogue.  How quickly the world and mainstream media denounced the actions and poured out their hearts for the “Jewish” community affected by this shooting and taking alive of a serial killer one Robert Bowers.

When Dylan Roof sat in a church full of welcoming worshipers in a South Carolina AME Church for over an hour before opening fire killing not only the Pastor but 39 people, this monster was allowed to escape and when captured taken to eat at Burger King by law enforcement. Just picture it “Way to go buddy! You want combo number 1 or 2?”

What we know about America and it’s white supremacist racist roots is there will always be a different standard applied to criminals who are “Caucasian” versus anyone else.  Caucasian criminals or mass shooters are almost always taken alive (unless they take their own lives) or are unlucky enough to get shot by responding police.  Why is this the case?

They took this evil piece of shit alive because he is one of them.  They didn’t deem him worthy of the death penalty they so quickly and easily mete out to non Caucasian people on a daily basis.  The mainstream media is also complicit because we have yet to hear or see a headline that says White domestic terrorist mass shooter kills 11 and wounds 4 police officers in synagogue shooting.  I guess the standard “two tears in a bucket” sentiment will prevail.

The bigger picture is still out there and that is the agenda to disarm the American people.  Problem, Reaction, Solution.  It’s the same play book they have when they accuse someone prominent in the court of public opinion.  The idea is that all you need is a number of accusers that is large enough to cause people to believe all the accusations must be true, and then mainstream media with public opinion get pushed to the fore front versus due process and the rule of law.

So it is with “gun control” foment enough mass shootings to get public opinion and reaction to be “give up your guns.”  When that happens disarming the public will seem logical and the only people who will have weapons will be the military industrial complex which is already folding in local law enforcement with the removal of Posse Commitatus law and the criminals who gain weapons on the black market quite easily.  The ordinary law abiding citizen then is a sitting duck caught in the middle.

I’m not saying do nothing to stop people from getting their hands on semi automatic weapons.  The police have the same kind of weapons that these mass murderers often gain access to.  Perhaps having a standard such as what it is in New York to have a gun could be applied nation wide.  Even then we still would have instances of mass shootings.  Slapping the label of “Mental illness” on these mass murderers is also becoming a throwaway term given to justify premeditated murders and stigmatizes people who may have some form of mental illness as the scapegoats when these tragedies occur.

I don’t believe for one second that all of these mass shootings are being perpetrated by the mentally ill and that there is this huge gap in how people are gaining access to these weapons simply by not going through a proper background check.  If you look up the requirements just to own or possess a gun in the state of New York and city of New York you will find it quite rigorous and difficult.  That standard applied nationwide could help stem some of these shootings but my feeling is it will only stop them temporarily.

Criminals will always find a way to get their hands on the types of guns and/or rifles used in mass shootings because by their very nature they have no intention of getting them legally.  So who will be penalized will extremely restrictive gun laws.  The already law abiding citizen who simply wants to have the access to weapons to protect him/herself, property, and family.  The police often are more likely to kill you unarmed when calling for help as a “non Caucasian person” than if you were an armed Caucasian person calling for help.

It’s also important to note the suggestion made by the idiot in chief that with the shootings that occurred in Florida at a high school there that it could have been prevented by having armed teachers in the school makes us cringe with fear.  The last thing we want in a school setting are teachers armed with guns that they could easily be used on a student for whatever reason is a really dangerous possibility.  Yet guess what, legislators in Florida already passed legislation paving the way for that scenario to happen.

Stay tuned because if we think the latest two mass shootings are it we are sadly mistaken.

Finally…Justice For Matthew McCree!!!

For the first time in a long time a good news outcome occurred in the long road to justice for Matthew McCree.  Many of us remember in the last 2 years the harrowing story of a young 15 year old Matthew McCree who was fatally stabbed inside a classroom in a public high school in the Bronx.

Since then the school has been shut down.  Matthew’s killer Abel Cedeno also stabbed another student Ariane Laboy almost killing him as well as leaving him in a coma for 2 days following the deadly stabbing of his fellow classmate Matthew McCree.  Both kids were younger than the  then 18 year old Abel Cedeno.

Initially I thought this would be a jury trial but as it turns out, from the outset Cedeno and his scumbag lawyers had waived their right to a jury trial and opted for a judge to rule over the case in the vein hopes that the judge would buy their ridiculous argument of a justified killing in self defense of Cedeno.  What I felt and suspected was the truth of the case the judge also saw plain as day.  Abel Cedeno while we won’t dispute may or may not have been bullied, was certainly not the daily bullying victim of a 3 years his junior Matthew McCree nor Ariane Laboy.

Abel Cedeno struggled as most LGBT youth do with coming to terms with their sexual identity and being open with that in a high school setting.  Did he suffer bullying?  I believe absolutely he must have to a certain degree.  How much we can never really know other than to hear him tell it or listen to the accounts of fellow classmates and students who knew of all 3 students at Urban Assembly School for Wildlife Conservation in the Bronx.  As a former Bronx resident this case hit home.

Growing up in the Boogie down is no walk in the park and I’m sure almost everyone has been subject to bullying at some point in school.  How we respond to those events and how the faculty and parents do as well is critical in having those issues resolved without heinous outcomes such as what occurred in this case.  That being said the difference here is that the climate of America has lent to this narrative that any “black” or “Afro -American” person (man, woman, or child) is fair game to target for killing and injustice because the legacy of America has allowed it.

The defense attorneys for Abel Cedeno as well as he and his family counted on it in this case.  They lied, defamed, slandered, and victim blamed the deceased 15 year old claiming he was a gang member knowing full well he was not while his mother Louna Denis was left to endure the heartache and turmoil and hope against hope and pray that justice would be had for her son Matthew.  What happened wasn’t just a tragedy it was preventable.  In my opinion the school let all of the students down but like so many inner city schools the kids are an after thought.  It’s only when something violent occurs that they decide to change policies and act.

When I was a kid going to school growing up in the Bronx my high school had 3 phases of metal detection before you even got to first period.  By my junior year of high school we already had the metal detection plus ID cards for every student that had to be scanned at the time of entry into the building.  The scans noted date and time of entry.  Why this wasn’t implemented in the Urban Assembly School for Conservation of Wildlife is beyond me considering my high school days were back in the 90’s.  It is crystal clear that because of the gross negligence of the school and it’s staff it warranted being shut down following Matthew’s murder.

The judge in this case saw through all of the deceit of the defense and used clear judgement to reach a verdict of guilty on all counts in the case.  Abel Cedeno faces a maximum of 25 years in prison for the killing of Matthew McCree.  My hope is that he receives the maximum (which is still too light a sentence) given the fact he will see daylight and have the opportunity to be out in society again while Matthew McCree’s life is permanently ended at just 15 years of age.

Just let that sink in.  A grown man by legal definition at 18 years of age premeditated bringing a weapon to school to use against anyone he perceived would be a bully to him (due to his sexual orientation) and then seeking provocation, killed a classmate 3 years younger than him and almost killed another 2 years younger.

Why is he not charged with 2nd degree murder? Why is he not charged with premeditated murder when he clearly purchased the weapon prior to the killing and his family acknowledging that they knew he purchased the weapon prior to taking it to school and killing Matthew McCree and critically stabbing Ariane Laboy?  The desperation of Cedeno’s defense even went so far as to claim that video evidence existed to bolster the claim of self defense.

That video turned out to be a blurry edited video released to the media who ran with it and put it out for pubic consumption to sway public opinion that the killing was justified. What the low lives didn’t know was that someone else had the full unedited cell phone video showing Abel Cedeno as the aggressor and attacker in the classroom not the elaborate lie they told the media and public that Abel was fighting for his life when he fatally stabbed Matthew and critically stabbed Ariane Laboy.

The outcome of this case as far as the guilty verdict goes brings some sense of closure for Matthew McCree and his mother but that won’t be fully known until sentencing of Abel Cedeno.  No matter what he’s sentenced to it will never bring Matthew back.  I hope that every day he’s in prison he really thinks about the events and his choices that led up to him being imprisoned and rightfully so.

I hope that Ariane Laboy fully recovers and can give us his account of what happened that day and what he plans to do with his life since he survived Abel’s attack.  I hope that uniform policies are adopted to which every single high school nation wide has metal detectors in it and dedicated staff and guidance counseling to deal directly with bullying.

If nothing else this case gives a little glimmer of hope that there is justice to be had for us.  I shudder to think though had Abel Cedeno been a Caucasian male from a family with money would this outcome have occurred?  Fortunately that isn’t an issue to have to wrestle with in this case.

Hats off to the judge in this case and more importantly to Louna Denis who stayed the course and fought and fought and fought for justice until she got it for her son.  This case should have been a national headline and a call to change things in schools across the country.  Hopefully it won’t be forgotten in the foreseeable future and things will change for the better.

The one thing I can take away from this case is Accountability was made an example here not an excuse.  If only the judicial system could have done the same for Trayvon Martin, Tamir Rice, Michael Brown, Philando Castile, Alton Sterling, Eric Garner, Freddie Gray, Oscar Grant, Amidou Diallo and countless others. Our lives have value, meaning, and purpose.   God sees us all.

Liam Neesen Admission Impression

Welcome to THEJNSREPORT’S: Liam Neesen Admission Impressionhttps://thejnsreport.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/04-01-waiting-on-the-world-to-change.mp3

So over the past week or so the mainstream news and social media has been buzzing over the remarks actor Liam Neesen made about wanting to randomly kill a “black bastard” out of revenge for the alleged rape of a female friend of his many years ago.  Hearing some immediate reactions was interesting.  He was immediately denounced by many while others made excuses and thought it refreshing to hear his brutally honest confession of wanting to commit premeditated murder.

My impression is that Liam Neesen is no different than most Caucasian men who’ve held that same mindset and heart full of hatred for people of color throughout the history of the world.  America has always been the place where excuses for killing any person of color are made and easily justified in the minds of Caucasian people.  It’s considered a normal emotion to have for them when a crime is alleged but even more so when the alleged crime is that of the rape of a Caucasian female.

Neesen’s statements probably took many by surprise in that prior to his confession we’d never heard any remarks from him that would signal he had those feelings.  Some would argue no matter what the ethnicity of the alleged rapist his statement probably would be the same in that he’d be looking for a week to get into a confrontation where he’d feel justified in murdering a random person of whatever ethnic group was alleged to have committed the rape against his friend.

His confession came during an interview to promote another of his films when asked how he got into the character he plays in his latest movie.  Here’s why what he said should rightfully be condemned even though he didn’t succeed in killing some random “black bastard” as far as we know.  If this were say Denzel Washington or Forest Whitaker confessing to going out for a week with a deadly weapon looking to have an encounter with a random Caucasian male just so he could kill that person who had nothing to do with the rape of a female friend who happens to be a woman of color, the entire entertainment industry would condemn them and probably call for the boycott of any film project they were promoting if not openly “blackball” them.

How long ago this action took place would be irrelevant.  Denials of any roles going forward would almost certainly ensue as movie studios and producers would seek to distance themselves from them.  My question is why did he come to the conclusion that the murder of a random person of color would solve anything?  Think about it, that’s been the history of America.  A woman claims a “black man” raped her or whistled at her or looked at her in a certain way and it immediately means they must be killed in the minds of Caucasian men.  This view is shared in mass by the majority of Caucasian men which has then led to the mob lynching of many innocent men of color for no other reason than the color of their skin and not their guilt or innocence proven beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

How many souls of our brothers, fathers, grandfathers, cousins, uncles, nephews, and sons have met a gruesome and untimely end at the hands of blind racist vigilantes with no respect for human life or the rule of law except when it’s in their favor?  How much blood shed has there been due to the lying mouths of many an unfaithful woman who immediately conjure up the image of some fictitious “black man” as the perpetrator of a crime that may or may not have taken place simply to avoid the truth.  This isn’t to say that Liam Neesen’s friend couldn’t be telling the truth but too often in history we’ve heard a Caucasian female cry rape to hide her infidelities and her lover be another Caucasian male.

Roles reversed how many stories have we heard of Caucasian men raping women of color as well as men of color? How many times have we seen or heard about men of color then going out in large mobs seeking to find any random “white man” or “white woman” they can to lynch, torture, burn, or castrate in response to those atrocities?  That is an amazingly irrational thought process.  I think Mr. Neesen would have been better served to just keep his mouth shut and say something like “trade secret”.
